We are proud to introduce our team of lawyers in our Mexico City office, which includes Gerardo Farías.
Gerardo holds a law degree and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from ITAM, graduating with honors in both degrees. He has an advanced master’s degree in International Taxation from the University of Amsterdam and the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), where he was awarded the Amsterdam Centre for Tax Law Award for obtaining the highest average of his generation. He is an active member of AMEXCAP.
His professional experience is over 14 years and includes an outstanding career in firms such as Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez; MMyO; and Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa (CRZ). He also worked at Loyens & Loeff N.V. in Amsterdam. He is the author of several publications in national and international publishing houses.
He has advised on several projects related to structuring private equity funds in Europe, the United States of America and Mexico. His professional experience includes the involvement in capital markets processes, from the structuring of the project to the placement of the instrument, both in CKDs, certificados bursátiles fiduciarias de proyectos de inversión (CERPIs), Fibras Inmobiliarias and Fibras-E. He has advised several companies on blockchain, particularly in the energy sector, as well as on the process of tokenizing assets.
