Javier Mondragón Alarcón

Javier is a prestigious lawyer with a solid academic background and vast experience in the field of law. He holds a law degree from the prestigious Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and a PhD in Administrative and Constitutional Law.

In addition to his studies in Mexico, he has obtained a Master of Arts degree in European Union Competition Law from the renowned Kings College London. He also has specializations in Amparo, Tax Law and Economic and Corporate Law from the Universidad Panamericana.

Francisco Javier has a distinguished career in the business world, having held important management positions in large companies. During his time as Legal Vice President of Grupo Televisa and Executive Vice President of Grupo Televicentro, he participated in the consolidation of several group companies to create Grupo Televisa, one of the world’s leading producers of Spanish-language content He also played a key role in the successful launch of Grupo Televisa’s initial public offering (IPO) on the Mexican and New York Stock Exchanges (NYSE), as well as in managing relations with investors and financial institutions.

Another of the highlights of his career was as General Counsel of Teléfonos de México, at a time when this company was the largest telecommunications company in the country. . During that period, Francisco Javier led the successful legal defense of the company against several attempts to impose special antitrust dominance obligations by the Ministry of Communications and Transportation and the Federal Telecommunications Commission.

His ability to handle complex matters and his strategic approach in the field of foreign investment law make Javier an exceptional legal resource in the development and implementation of expansion plans and in the handling of critical disputes

Javier is an active member of the Mexican Bar Association, where he was honored to serve as sub-coordinator of the Administrative Law Commission.
